In case you spotted Lionfish on one of our Keys menus and were wondering…
It’s #SustainableSunday and we’re asking #FloridaKeys visitors to consider ordering lionfish whenever it’s on the menu. Why? Lionfish is an invasive species and competes with native fish for food and habitat. Lionfish have a light, delicious flavor and can be savored in everything from sushi and ceviche to lusciously sauced dishes. It’s “conservation through consumption.” The REEF Reef Environmental Education Foundation has even published a lionfish cookbook! #ConnectAndProtect
